Guided Breath Work

What Can I Expect?

Breath is medicine. Many individuals across the globe are now discovering the power of breathing as a healing modality. In recent years, the Wim Hof method has popularized the power of the breath and people are starting to understand that they actually have more control over their emotional responses to external stimuli, their moods, and overall wellbeing through using specific breathing techniques.

During a guided breath work circle with me, we will utilize conscious, circular breathing in order to heal, connect, and transform ourselves. I will hold space and guide you through a 90 minute journey, during which you are encouraged to lie down in a comfortable environment. Cozy up with blankets and a pillow to ensure that you feel supported and safe. Eye masks or pillows are encouraged so that you can focus inwardly as you come home to yourself. I will create a safe container for you through the use of medicine music and gentle guidance that will take you through a journey of healing and  release.

What can I experience during conscious breathwork?

It is important to note that many individuals experience trauma release through conscious breathwork. If you are seeking breathwork to assist with mental illness, PTSD, or trauma recovery it is encouraged that you discuss this work with your family physician beforehand.

Tetany: often experienced as tingling, numbing, and cramping of the hands. Some individuals call it "lobster claws," tetany is caused by a decrease in CO2 levels and more oxygen being released into the bloodstream, tissues, and vital organs. In turn, this causes the blood's pH levels to become more alkaline. Most people only experience tetany during their first few breathwork sessions, and afterwards it subsides. Tetany can be controlled by taking breaks during breathwork as needed. You are always in control of your own experience.
